Buyer's Do's and Don't's:

Buying a home is definitely an exciting time in one's life. It can be very emotional and very stressful at times. You may want to pull your hair out during the process, however hiring the right realtor can minimize the stress, making your buying experience a memorable and enjoyable experience. Before you go pulling out whatever hair you have left on your head, here are a few "do's and don'ts" to help you through the buying process before closing on your beautiful new home.

Do's

* Make sure you have all insurance coverage lined up prior to closing
* Contact utilities companies to set up accounts in your name
* Submit change of address to U.S. Post Office
* Complete Home Owner's Association application (if required)
* Complete final "walk-through" of property day before or day of closing
* Confirm with moving company date

Don'ts

* If obtaining a mortgage on property, don't go out and finance anything prior to closing! This could prevent finance company from issuing mortgage!
* Don't forget to check with your closing officer or real estate agent to get closing settlement statement (shows all financial obligations for sellers and buyers)
* Don't' forget to get bank wiring instructions prior to close date and find out "cutoff" time for funds to be transferred
* Don't forget your ID at closing!
